Personal Care Provider (PCP) - Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Salida
Perform homemaking activities which includes but is not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms. Prepares meals and snacks for client according to client/family and supervisor’s instructions. May perform grocery shopping and transportation. Provides companionship for the client including accompanying client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, etc. Stand by assistance with walking, toileting, showering, getting up and down from bed, chair etc. Other duties may be assigned to that specific client. You must have your High School diploma or GED, social security card, valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work to go to and from shifts. Shifts are anywhere from 2 to 24 hours.
CNA - Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Salida
Be able to assist with bathing, skin care, feeding, and any personal hygiene to include Peri care. Transferring and ambulation activities to include full assist and full transfers, assist with range of motion exercises, vital signs, post mortem care, enemas, colostomy care, wound care, catheter care, meal preparation, Medicine reminders, shopping and errands, transportation, household cleaning and companionship. Other duties may be assigned to that specific client. You must currently be certified in the state of Colorado as a Certified Nurses Assistant and have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile to go to and from shifts, and a social security card.
Drivers - Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Salida
Be able to assist with the safe transporting, lifting and companionship of Beo clients
- Delivers, sets up, and assists with equipment at the client’s address
- Provides in-home care consultation estimates
- Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of any delivered items
- Completes all necessary delivery forms and paperwork including invoices, work orders, manifests and logs
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of current services offered by Beo and all applicable governmental regulations
- Works with Care Coordinator to coordinate client transportation requirements
EMTs - Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Salida
Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.
Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls. Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements. Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information. Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion.
Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene management as needed. Drive the ambulance or provide map reading support to minimize call response time.
Keep current on certifications. Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback. Monitor and maintain the general condition of the unit, keep it clean and stocked for optimal call response to maintain the image of Rocky Mountain Emergency Medical Services and Beo Personal Care. Document activities completely to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call.
Beo’s minimum requirements for employment:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years delivery experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- For drivers: valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Colorado with a clean record.
- Driving record in compliance with Beo policy regarding insurability. Past work experience, preferably in healthcare desired. Some advanced education preferred.
- Current state of Colorado EMT Certification. Current BCLS, ACLS, BTLS OR PHTLS Provider Certification
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Employment is contingent upon a drug screening test and background investigation
